Jason Terry is one of the few players in the NBA who isn’t afraid to ruffle some feathers. And to make matters worse, he’s got a boat load of confidence. I mean, who else would tattoo the Larry O’Brien trophy on their arm before the start of the season? It worked out well for him, but still, he has a way of getting under peoples skin.
Anyway, in a recent interview with DIME, Terry was asked about J.R. Smith’s guarantee that the Knicks will win the championship this season and he responded with something hilarious, which will undoubtedly annoy Knicks fans:
JT: They would win what? What did he guarantee? They would win what? I didn’t hear that.
Dime:The championship.
JT: They would win the championship?Dime:Yeah, he said 100 percent guarantee.
JT: The NBA championship?Dime:Yup.
JT: Right. Maybe the Rucker Park Championship. I don’t know, not the NBA championship. I don’t see how they could guarantee that, at all. I’m not buying it, so…
This is quickly turning into my favorite rivalry in the NBA.
